Meeting called to order at 5:00 pm by President John Moynihan.
Minutes for Apr 10, 2018 meeting were approved.
Treasurer’s Report
Beginning Bal: $ 1417.47
+ 35.00 (50/50)
+ 10.00 (Member dues)
Ending Bal $ 1462.47
Tip from Kenny E.
In the past we were taught to place the ball from just inside our left foot
and then moving it back a little for each club as we move from driver down to
wedges. A more modern approach is to place the ball just inside your left foot for
all club selections. This will lead to a more consistent swing and ball impact. Try it!
Rules Review (Bill Robinson)
Bill discussed how the new rule changes for 2019 will affect how you take relief and how
to drop your ball when doing so.
General Discussion
Dick Leach discussed:
* If you have a putter with a face insert and it becomes damaged, contact the manufacturer
to see if you can send it in for repair.
* If you are buying new grips for your clubs, pay attention to the grip inside diameter and
the club shaft diameter. Putting a grip on a shaft of differing diameter will change the
overall size of the grip and affect how it feels in your hand.
Bob Kistler announced he would be moving to Palm Desert within the next few
weeks.
Old Business
Results from the Cedar Creek tournament were presented / reviewed.
New Business
We need more players for the match play tournament.
50/50 Drawing
$60 collected, John Moynihan had the winning ticket earning him $30.
